About Matt

Matt is a founding partner with Skalka & Baack Law Firm which began in January of 2013. Matt focuses his practice primarily on estate planning of all types, trust and probate administration, transfer tax planning and issues relating to business succession planning. Additionally, Matt handles business and real estate matters, including 1031 like-kind exchanges.

A Nebraska native, Matt graduated from Holdrege High School in 2000. He went on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2003. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 2007. Matt regularly speaks at seminars for fellow Nebraska attorneys.

Outside of the office, Matt enjoys spending time with family and friends. His three children occupy most of his free time. Matt is an avid Husker sports fan and also enjoys reading, playing basketball, golf, and most other competitive sports.
